Landscape Stories

The senior students have been learning about the art of storytelling. We have been telling lots of stories. Mrs Bird-Miller from America and our teachers have been helping us.
These stories are digital landscape stories. We hope you enjoy them.

Seniors - Kauri Class

Zebong - the finest storyteller in the Nation.
Zebong is cool.
He interacts with his audience, he is humorous, intelligent and the impression that he leaves on you is that he LOVES his job. Zebong makes great eye contact and he is great with using different voices. I thought that Zebong was really friendly, the overall experience I had with Zebong was awesome. Zebong was telling us about how much he gets paid and it’s a lot. Leah thought the money wasn’t great but it is.
If you ever want a high job, storytelling is for you. I really liked all the character names he used, my favourite name was Grunhag the ugly witch played by Mrs Dimond. The story he told us was the highlight of my day. By Alex Bell

Today we had Zebong come to our School. Zebong told us a story that he heard from his Grandfather. He involved the audience and used body language and he used expression. I think Zebong is funny and he is a good story teller.

Today we had a storyteller named Zebong which was really funny because he was
humorous and he has good body language and expression. It was funny when he
chose characters for his story but the funniest thing was when he chose all of the
teachers to play apart in it. After morning tea he came in to our class again to give
us a heads up about speeches and it was funny because he would tell us about his
days at school. By Roimata

Kids for Kids Concert
Wow! What a performance! Well done to everyone for learning the words and practicing hard all year. Congratulations to the children who were able to participate in the evening performance in Hamilton at Founders Theatre. We hope you read about our efforts in the Waitomo News yesterday. Congratulations to our two students, Leah and Kyah, for auditioning for soloist parts. Well done Kyah for winning a part. It was a great effort from everyone involved.
